SBA is reducing their fees on SBA 7(a) loans!

Starting on October 1st, SBA is reducing their fees on SBA 7(a) loans and are as follow;

The SBA Guaranty Fee will be:

For loans with gross approval amounts (guaranteed and unguaranteed portions) of $1 million or less – zero.

For loans with gross approval amounts (guaranteed and unguaranteed portions) over $1 million up to and including $2 million;

- 1.45% of the guaranteed portion of the loan up to and including $1 million.

- 1.70% of the guaranteed portion of the loan over $1 million.

Don't forget, if you have an existing SBA loan with a high rate and cannot get it refinanced as a non-SBA loan, there is a possibility to refinance it as a new SBA loan with a lower rate.  As mentioned in a previous articles, the rate spreads are lower than they were previously so there is a possibility of saving a good amount of interest in the long run.
